In support of enhancing trade exchange between Egypt and Bahrain,
Arias Egypt for Laboratory Furniture – part of Integrated Scientific Group (ISG) – welcomed a high-level Bahraini delegation at its headquarters. The visit aimed to showcase the company’s production capabilities and its alignment with global developments in medical industries and laboratory supplies.
The visit coincided with preparations for the Bahrain Health Exhibition and Conference organized by Spine Medical in Bahrain from December 10 to 13, featuring participation from major Egyptian companies in the medical and industrial sectors.
Enhancing Industrial Cooperation between Egypt and Bahrain
Dr. Mona Khairy, Chairperson of Arias Egypt, welcomed the Bahraini delegation, emphasizing that the visit reflects the strong relations between the two countries and the company’s commitment to implementing the Egyptian leadership’s vision for transferring and localizing European production technologies to domestic industries.
She highlighted that Arias Egypt manufactures laboratory furniture for all types of laboratories in the medical, educational, and research sectors, using European technology and Egyptian craftsmanship, with local components exceeding 80%. This aligns with Egypt Vision 2030 aimed at deepening local manufacturing and reducing imports.
National Industry: Engine of Growth and Development
Major General Gamal Adlan, Vice Chairman of Arias Egypt for Laboratory Furniture, stated that developing the local industry represents the real key to achieving self-sufficiency and saving foreign currency through expanding domestic production and exporting products to international markets.
He also noted that the Egyptian industrial sector demonstrated resilience during global crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizing the crucial role of government-private sector cooperation in meeting local market needs and sustaining production.
Bahraini Delegation Praises Egyptian Industry
During the visit, Dr. Aisha Mubarak Bu Anq, Chairperson of the National Committee for Unified Procurement of Medicines and Medical Supplies in Bahrain, expressed her admiration for the significant progress of Egyptian medical industries, praising Egyptian factories for their adherence to international standards.
Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, a member of the Bahraini delegation, also highlighted the strong Egypt-Bahrain relations and anticipated a significant increase in trade and investment cooperation between the two countries in the near future, particularly in medical industries and laboratory supplies.
